Fab Fridays 106: Happy New Year

A tree, a baby, and a book

They say you should plant a tree, have a child, and write a book before you die…

Here I am… wrapping up 2022 next to the Japanese Blueberry tree I planted, holding my baby on one hand, and the manuscript of my first book on the other. My heart is so full.

Unlike other years where I work on several things at the same time, this year I decided to slow down and focus on two long term projects — my first baby and my first book. Although I’ve missed writing on a weekly basis, I must say I’ve enjoyed nesting and the change in pace.

On October 27, 2022 we welcomed our first child, Fernando Enrique, into this world and my heart has been overflowing with love ever since. Being a mom is the most important, rewarding, and challenging job I’ve ever had, and it’s made my work more meaningful than ever. I’m excited to see how this reflects in my writing next year.

After writing my newsletter consistently for over a year, I decided to turn my best ideas into a book and I cannot wait to share details with you very soon. The manuscript is finally ready and pre-orders will be available in January! Eeeek!!
