Fab Fridays 29: Kids are the Best Teachers
Relationships are the cornerstone of our work as educators.
Hey Everyone!
Happy Friday and greetings from Panama.
A quick personal story: On September 1st 2017, 19 former students showed up at our wedding ceremony. It was the most magical moment:
Revisiting this picture reminded me that relationships are the cornerstone of our work as educators. Kids will do anything when they know you care.
MS. FAB— A YOUTUBER?
When I told my former fourth graders I was moving to the US, they suggested I become a YouTuber.
I thought it was hilarious, but they were dead serious! So I asked them to teach me everything I needed to know in order to “become a YouTuber.”
2 years later here I am, learning how to make and edit videos and putting into practice what they taught me. Kids are the best teachers, and we have so much to learn from them.
Based on good feedback on last week’s article “5 School Lessons to UNlearn,” I decided to turn it into a video. A big thank you to my former kiddos for all the tips and lessons! Take a look and share with someone that might be interested.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
