@ Ana- How do we make kids think differently than what they have been exposed to since childhood. Somewhere this exposure becomes a reference point.

Because people (read parents) have been raised in the instructional /follower world so they think the same way for their kids. This way we build unprogressive society where next generation is little different from previous ones.
